But if we dont defederate, we would get free content from their userbase, won't we? And people from thread would realize they get the same content here, without the ads ?

I have created an account, and I would like to (try to) use mastodon. But I don't know who/what to follow? How does one discover interesting hashtags, or people to follow ? Mainstream personalities or media are not on mastodon

Some routesetter like to screw holds on top of holds to change the slope. (I think) For this one I dont understand so much what was going through his mind.

Of course then we would need to relearn to wash our vegetables before eating. Maybe why the startup didnt succeed ?

I have seen a startup proposing a filter the reinject used water from the sink to the toilets or to the garden. Great idea, but very expensive, as you need to redo the entire pipe network of your house

How to fall safely while indoor bouldering (valcursus.nl)
 

So... it happened again at my gym today. I witnessed a girl break her arm while climbing.. A good reminder of the inherent risks of bouldering. Even with those huge mats a bad landing can still lead to some serious consequences, especially for inexperienced climbers. see: How to fall safely while indoor bouldering

It got me thinking... is it possible that we've lost some of the caution that came with climbing outside, without mats?

Yes but because Free Solo was responsible for making the climbing gyms so crowded... we are not allowed to say that. Even though it was good.

Nice picture!

My goal this season is to do a V6 boulder problem at my gym. No outdoor climbing nearby, but that won't stop me.
