I wanted to say I think they're too racist to convert to Islam but OTOH "papists" used to be a word and now isn't and messianic figure to the worst people on the planet Andrew Tate sure did it.

Isn't there like an actual chance he, personally, has some bad shit happening to him if Trump wins?

There's an odd amount of chud converts that keep going "where's this guy getting off telling me how catholicism works"

I'm really miffed seemingly every narrow gage railways in germany was, at best, converted into a bicycle trail. Would love to look at some funky small trains. Or, you know, if any of them were kept updated and still operated. I usually look at the map of where they used to run and tbh, that's usually not far off from it being a pretty good rural public transport option today

didn't expect Subcommandante Marcos to have a hexbear account

Do you have experience with USB-Encoders? I feel like I could save myself some time of learn2code if I were to just use something like that?

Gamergate honestly catapulted the whole thing but I'll keep saying it: I vividly remember everyone gettin mad as fuck about LoZ: Wind Waker because it wasn't Ocarina of Time: More tits and gore and I genuinely think the whole thing has its root causes in gaming starting as a hobby for rich people originally

He's gonna die in a swampy exile after a twink asks him too many questions?

What if Panama-Canal, but reverse?

And half the reception is "Great!" "Pragmatic"!

My country is entering the "just get a guy from the town to do it" prophecy from Trashfuture

A guinea pig is a 2 pound furry potatoe with no offensive or defensive mechanisms and it still has the courage to yell at a hairless monkey 200 times their size if they feel their offering of veggies isn't up to par, they know no fear. 3 of them will reduce a bell pepper to nothing but white innards in about 2 minutes, tops.

Imagine if they hungered for flesh. You're just out about and 3 guinea pigs just nibble off your entire shit below the ankles in like two minutes. You try to kick them to death but they're too nimble and keep coming back as their hunger is insatiable

Mishima is an outlier and should not be counted

Now you might think this is a bad idea, but then I ask you; how else is Santa Claus going to get up to all those chimneys to deliver children their presents?

I posted about the axing the EV car subsidy about 2 weeks ago so here's a fun update; many car brands have started to just go "eh whatever we'll reduce the price accordingly either in full or at least partially" and that is of course very nice of them to do and also has 0 other implications and is best not to think about both in terms of what this means for the economic model or how these subsidies work out

Given the political climate in germany where not subsidizing cars is not an option I am now an advocate for just transferring tax money directly to car manufacturers. If we're gonna do it anyways, I feel like at least we should save on the bureaucratic overhead of paying it out to thousands of individuals after means testing their car purchase

There's too much online discussion where the topic at hand is reinvented from first principles again, and again, and again, in what can at best be described as a strenous relationship to actual reality as every debateperson is loaded with the assumption that they are imbued with the sum total of human knowledge and therefore must never read any material on anything other than other peoples posts that are also reinvented from first principles

These people should all be shamed away from participating in any discussion until they better themselves, which is what lurk moar did.

The mod's just very well done but it's amazing how well the base game translates to VR. Talk about standing the test of time when your 2004 video game can be modded into VR pretty much seamlessly and then blow Triple and Double-A games that are specifically made for VR out of the water

EDIT: Thinking about it, Half Life 2 and it's consequences have been insanely culturally influential in the greater sphere. I mean from Gmod Youtube-Poops over to SFM all the assets are still relevant now due to skibidi toilet, and they're nearing 20 years old now.

I learned how to navigate by compass and map from Arma on the account of you kind of need to, to play certain game modes.

I have never learned shit from "educational" games because they all fail at being games. They're tests with some graphics added, that shit is boring and nobody cares, there's no incentive.

Under FALGSOC, every game would teach you at least one skill

EDIT: I learned Sneaking from Gothic because to sneak in that game you have some guy explaining it to you and that came in very handy as a teenager

So a few years back germany introduced the Schuldenbremse (debt brake), the constitutional law that forbids them from accruing debt because all of germany thinks national finances work the same as personal finances

With a recent judgement by the constitutional court that said the "well this is debt but it doesn't count" climate fund is, actually, debt, and therefore unconstituational, the federal budget is considered unconstituational and has to be redone, without debt, so a lot less money to go around. Sure, constitutional orders are often ignored but this is big boy adult financism so we gotta make a new one

As such, the 4500€ (~$4900 at the time of writing) subsidy for buying a factory new EV car has been spontaneously canceled on the basis of there is no money to be spent for it unless we stop actually being a state (YMMV on whether or not that might happen to subsidize cars more) and the hitler particle detector of the expastered petite bourgeoisie who thinks they keep the country running via taxes has now exploded as they're all very, very, very, very mad about having bought a new car they can't actually afford without the subsidy and are now stuck paying for it anyways because they signed a contract assuming they'd get the subsidy

A lot of people finding out the german states raison d'etre is actually selling cars, which is entirely unhampered by this decision on the basis of the contracts are already signed and the state will be more than happy to enforce them on behalf of car makers, to which I say; lol, lmao, you fucking bozos

Custom built bicycle by World Bicycle Relief NGO which provides Bicycles to underdeveloped, mostly rural, areas

More to be found at https://worldbicyclerelief.org

I'm too cynical to advocate for or against the NGO itself on account of not having researched it enough, It's founded by the SRAM owners (that being a bicycle parts corporation) and they have a for-profit subsidiary which just sells you that bike, but they claim some of it goes towards the actual charity. Seems an ok model.

But the idea seems, genuinely, pretty good. You give someone a rugged-ass bicycle that can be fixed via local parts instead of some dependance on anything else, they now have a pretty good bicycle and boy does that beat walking. Forgive me the obvious bias here but it feels, at least theoretically, pretty Sankara-esque, it's just instead of a tractor, it's a bicycle. Different use-case, same philosophy.

Especially that 100kg carry capacity rear rack, I mean goddamn. Most "adventure" bikes you can customer purchase in the west end at around 40 - 50kg on that front. Kind of want one now.

According to their own numbers they've given out 752.000 bicycles at about 150€ a pop.

EDIT: It also comes very close to the Apocalypse Bicycle that I posted about as the Humanitarian Bicycle idea about 2 years ago and that was from some guy just designing it for fun

What do we think?

Many people don't even think of the concept because it's not available for cars on the basis of being illegal, but it's perfectly fine to use for bicycles and can be freely purchased.

Buddy what do you mean your continued survival is dependent on a single 130 mile stretch of road in the ocean. how is there no ports? you're gonna fucking die
