That’s great info, thanks for the reply, seriously. It’s why I ask the questions and give you my reasons for them.

The part about the chemtrail types is because I have heard all kinds of arguments against them for tinfoil hat reasons. I’m very grateful to get some actual science.

My legit question is then, is the impact on the average temperature by reducing the visible trails greater or less than the impact of adding the emissions from the extra fuel spent.

My gut tells me no, those number seem small, but small numbers often lie, and impacts to the chemical makeup of the atmosphere is an ongoing change whereas a trail of condensation is a short lived phenomenon.

This is not an argument either way, it seems like a legitimate question to me. It’s also not the question that “chemtrails” conspiracy theorists would ask.

Boys can also develop negative images of themselves, they are actively preyed upon as well. There are different sets of challenges for the genders, but they are there for both.

I don’t have girls so it’s hard to say. But I do work to make sure they understand that people that come for them, are only saying something about themselves. We work hard to make sure they know the difference between online abusive drama and reality and help them choose spaces that are positive.

Same as always, better parenting.

My three boys don’t have filters on the internet, instead of blocking them from the world, I raised them in it.

As a working dad with kids, I like my doorbell cam. My self hosted, non-cloud, local only doorbell cam that is.

My f’ing camera feeds are mine.

I get the feeling, I feel the same way. Somehow though we need to find a way to keep fighting. Honestly, just conversation and awareness helps.

I don’t know how, but ultimately this is on us all to fix, there is no one coming to help. So we just need to keep being diligent, take one more step, show up at one more protest, alter your buying habits, do little things to gum up the system, keep posting, keep arguing, keep holding the fucking line instead of just standing there pointing at it.

America is more than embarrassment, it’s a fucking worldwide disaster and danger. Fuck the news, every last bit of the mainstream media has capitulated or actively participates. Shit like this, Lemmy, mastodon and other human centric spaces, independent and local news sources are where to get your info.

I’m sorry to harp on you, not directed at you, just a little triggered lately. Self fulfilling inaction will get us nowhere.

Honestly, your quick and clear reply is very cathartic. That’s why I prefer Lemmy to my family :).

This is the hardest part. I am trying to let go of my anger as they slowly start to notice and pretend like either no one could have seen this coming, or they were against it all along.

If one single person in my sphere ever just came to me and said “I guess you were right” that would do so much for my mental health. But I need to get past that, and just be happy they finally are coming around.

I am exceptionally bitter seeing some of my formerly maga associates, getting heaps of praise for waking up while the same assholes praising them, were the ones telling me I’m the crazy one. Clearly still have anger to let go of…

You and me both buddy. It sucks seeing all this shit so plainly unfold, only to have what I thought was normal people not just ignore it, but get angry with me for trying to point it out.

Ran across this lately. I guess you can start calling me Cassandra:

People should think about a NASS or Home servers like they do about owning a vehicle.

I wholeheartedly agree. Hell, home server/nas should be more common than cars, I don’t drive every day, but my data is used every minute of every day.

Why it was funny in the first place. I knew I was messing with the best.

I swear on my life this happened to me but I don’t care if you believe me or not.
