Yes, there was a whole running narrative about bill the cat having his brain replaced with trumps back in the 80’s. my now completely crazy, maga dad, turned me on to bloom county as a kid so most of my politics likely took root with a large nosed penguin and his friends. Then when I hit high school, I found rage against the machine.
But yeah, I never watched any of his reality shows, this is the turnip I knew, until he became the actual president. My brain has not recovered.
I’m middle aged now, but I have to admit, while I’ve always known there was racism still around, and still part of the government. I’m blown away though at just how much more of it, and how deeply rooted it is. The kind of people in charge right now are literal cartoon villains when I was a kid.
I mean that literally.
I mean, without a doubt he will use it as a threat/leverage. that fucker is all-in on attempting to change history (and it’s working so far).
That’s the point. They have a weapon that can be used against anyone, and it’s already shown they don’t care about due process. The courts gave him everything he needs.
It's beginning to feel like that rapist was elected specifically to protect the child predators.
wholeheartedly agree. I was but 19 years old though and less wise in the ways of the world. I occasionally try to look her up but have had no luck, I really hope she turned out ok. Been decades though.
Lol, this literally happened to me once.
Long story short, a girl I knew but always figured was way out of my league expressed interest in me. We quickly started dating, I thought I was the luckiest guy in the world. A few weeks go by and she just ghosts me. Nothing for weeks, I was going nuts. Finally I get a message from her, she had checked herself into the psych ward, and wound up hooking up with one of the staff while she was there.
Dodged a real one there...
I was speaking in metaphor but in this climate I guess you can’t anymore.. you have a point one side is clearly worse, I’m not trying to make a “both are the same” argument. My argument is that neither will save us.
The dems have had a winning strategy for ages, they just fight harder against it, than they do their political opposition.
I have come to the conclusion that the entire system is wholly corrupt, top to bottom. There are decent folks in there, but they are VASTLY outnumbered. Yes, one party is worse, but when given the choice between shot or stabbed in the back, I kinda want to pick neither.
Pretty sure we’ve just been in a dead cat bounce. When it hits, it’s going to hit hard.
I sincerely hope I’m wrong about this and that Rubio is playing higher dimensional chess (stop laughing).
