This made my day!
Edit: also, this is from 17-APR, and it's the first I'm seeing this. I wish I could say I've been under a rock, but I was literally looking for, and reading, multiple articles on this near daily, and missed this...

One can hope
What's the CVE score?
Sorry. Bad joke on our pain...
If I can't change it once it gets breached (because it will get breached), then it's not security, it's a hurdle at best. Biometrics entry isn't security; it's convenience.
They don’t think past what’s in front of them.
I'm pretty sure you just summarized the human paradigm.
If this was reality, I might get me an apple computer lol
I'mma be honest: I compared the two logos before reading anything, and absolutely loved the one on the left. It made me instantly want to learn more about the company. The one on the right just looks like a low effort depiction of the inside of a house, and I lost interest in what it was offering before I even got to the company name. I clicked in the post to put in my 2 pence, then read the whole image. Yeah... AI sucks.
No. COVID didn't lead to this. Their insane greed lead to this. We were more than happy to pay a fair price to own a product, but no... they wanted more, and more, and more, and, eventually, we had enough. The fact that it happened during a pandemic is irrelevant, because it didn't lead to this. Their greed lead to this.
Not just hiding, but actively blocking. Pissants.
But it should be optional with a very clear "if you don't have this account then X could happen" warning and agreement. I don't want a ms account, and my computer shouldn't force me into it. That's my gripe with that bit.
I did the same thing with mspaint, but from Win98.
