I mean. They're a USA company. Of course they would be required to follow the laws of the country in which they HQ. Did anyone think anything different?

Yes. And yes. And a short search shows quite a few blunders.

the city is sending crews to remove them.

The city seems to be overreacting. It's just a crosswalk, there's no reason to remove the families who painted them. Sheesh

Man, this timeline sucks.

On the other hand... Year of the fairphone? Maybe year of the Linux phone?

Right, but if I don't care for gui and am good with cli, would this guide still be followable? That's kind of what I was trying to ask, I guess.

Don't sell yourself short. This guide has the very real potential to be invaluable to someone just starting out! It's a great guide! Just needs a little more of the "why" factor, is all : ) keep it up!

True, but OP's guide is for Ubuntu, so newcomers will be lost with Fedora following this guide, since they are vastly different.

That's what I was thinking, but I wasn't sure. I figured I'd ask op, since the post seems to be theirs.

As I'm writing this, I'm thinking maybe it's because Server is generally cli-first, and this post is geared towards a more noob audience, so they're going gui-first? If so, I appreciate the forethought.

I went to school with a girl named Dayv (pronounced Dave). She went by Dayve (pronounced Davey).

My friend had a male calico who was very much not sterile... at least not until the parents were required to neuter...

A PC with Ubuntu Desktop installed (not Ubuntu Server

Any reason why not use Server when setting up a home server?

I only see one post when I go through my Local instance, but I see a bunch of posts when I open the community in its Home instance. Does anyone know why? And how I can see the rest of the posts so I can interact?

I was prepping an Americano, and the Peet's Major Dickason had a stick in it. I have never seen this before on a national brand like Peet's.

Edit: I'm going to extend the contest to mid-Aug to give time for the newest Reddit refugees to participate.

The original icon from r/espresso is great.

However, I thought that we can customize this community's icon every so often with a little contest.

Here are the rules:

  1. This goes without saying, but be kind.

  2. You should be subscribed. After all, it should to be your community, if you're going to affect it.

  3. The image you submit needs to be your OC. It doesn't have to be a shot you pulled, but it does need to be a picture you took.

  4. [edit] Sign the picture on one of the corners or anywhere else that doesn't "take away" from the image[, if you want to. If you don't, I'll sign it for you before we use it. If you'd rather not display your username on the picture, let me know in the post, and I won't use it. Sorry for the poor foresight with this very basic privacy thing. That's my bad.]

  5. Post your submission as a comment.

  6. Upvote your 2-3 favorite(s) and downvote your one least favorite.

Let's give it ~~30 days?~~ to mid-August. At the end, the image with the highest votes will become the new community icon until the next contest.

Have fun!

I'm still dialing it in, but at 11.36g in / 41.73g out, it was pretty good. Still not there, but closer than I thought on the first pull. I vaguely taste a fruit (apple maybe?) and some cacao. Not so much milk chocolate, as stated on the bag, and it's a bit more acidic that I would expect from this roaster, but both of those points could be just it not being dialed in yet.

Following another user's advice, I pulled this shot longer than the standard, to 41.45g (11.36g in).

This is the same super acidic Blue Blottle Bright from earlier, but this was so much less acidity. I can't say it was a great shot, as I must just not be a fan of Blue Blottle (or, at least, this blend), but it much much better. I wouldn't mind having this one again.

Traditional macchiato and giant (approximately 21cm / 8in diameter) chocolate chip cookie from a local bakery.

I don't have a proper shot scale, so I had to make due with the $2 Blaze scale that I found at some thrift store a while back. It's propped up on the dosing funnel to help mitigate splashing and further cooling of the liquid.

This little red metal mug was not where the espresso stayed, as the heat would dissipate before I had time to enjoy the drink. That scale has a maximum weight of less than my glass cups, as small as they are.

This was... not ideal. I am now saving for a proper scale.

I decided to try the Bright roast from Blue Bottle.

They claim blueberry, golden raisin, and lemon zest. I definitely taste the intense acidity of the lemon zest (which I don't like), but it is otherwise a pretty boring cup.

I have a roast that has very clear blueberry notes, but this Blue Bottle just isn't coming close. It does have a slight fruitiness to it, which would be nice, if it didn't get drowned to an almost whisper by the acidity.

I grew up on golden raisins. In fact, today's black raisins weren't even available. Blue Bottle claiming this roast has notes of this treat, leads me to believe that they haven't had golden raisins before and don't know the flavor enough to describe.

I know a lot of people like this roster and roast, and I'm not banging on either. This particular roast is simply not for me. I am planning on trying their other roasts. Maybe it's just this particular roast that I don't like. Only one way to find out, and I'm exited for the journey!

Form the article: "The 0mega ransomware group has successfully pulled off an extortion attack against a company's SharePoint Online environment without needing to use a compromised endpoint, which is how these attacks usually unfold. Instead, the threat group appears to have used a weakly secured administrator account to infiltrate the unnamed company's environment, elevate permissions, and eventually exfiltrate sensitive data from the victim's SharePoint libraries. The data was used to extort the victim to pay a ransom."

Rooster and the Hen Coffee Company, medium roast, smooth and sweet, notes of very dark chocolate, and peanuts(?). Dark, smooth, creamy, delicious.

Armando's Blend, medium roast, from French Press Coffee House. It was creamy, sweetish, smooth, not super complex, but very satisfying. Almost like my tongue was caressed by it. I have been tending to favor light roasts lately, but this one... This one I can do all day.

I forgot to share this from the other day, and now can't remember which light roast it was :(

I do remember that it was super tasty, though!
