According to Facebook, 80% of your friends should be AI bots, so that checks out.

I was traveling, and this one city I was going through had SD images everywhere as advertising for their downtown, and the quote was "celebrate what's real". They had the audacity to use AI images and tell me to celebrate what's real. Wtf

Edit: needless to say, I did not go to their downtown.

I'm on year 6 with a pair I got from ZenniOptical. I'd say they're a good source.

Mine has him poor, serving McD's burgers. Then some new (or is it?) TikTok trend drops, where a large shake gets chucked into the server window and hits him straight on. He has no choice but to continue working as the shake remnants slide down his uniform and through his hair, since minimum wage is all he's got, and he needs the money.

It seems to me, that it allows bigots to silence the turquoise alert, but keep the amber alert on. That way, they're not bothered by missing "less-than-human" alerts. It makes no sense to me to make another alert type. Either we treat all people groups as equal humans, or we don't deserve to be part of society. There is no in between. But... maybe I missed something in the linked site.

Maybe I missed it, but I don't understand why create a new alert. Are indigenous people not worthy of the amber alert? A missing person is a missing person.

Yes, I'm aware they're real humans, but blasting someone, who specifically requests not to be blasted, with 10 texts a day, is emotional and mental abuse, and the human doing this is not a person a would ever respect (while I wish them no harm). I see these organizations only a couple notches above those asshole scammers. And it's because they're real humans that the berating actually works.

Also, I should clarify what I mean as 'berating' in this context: a simple "fuck off" or "who the fuck are you and why the fuck are you texting me?!". I do not mean that you should go calling them slurs or the like. Don't insult the person, only be extremely hostile in your response.

Berate them with "foul language". Depending on the country, they will mark your number as hostile, and it will be removed from their contact list. Since they share lists, this will propagate to other lists, as well.

Later last year, I did notice an uptick in Lemmy hostility, across the board. It's calmed down significantly, though, around January of this year or so. Now, I don't know about the instances that my home instance blocks (hexbear being among them, thankfully). I've generally had good experiences with infosec users in the past, which is why I moved instances to here. Sorry that hasn't been your experience; people can be assholes.

Infosec, really? I haven't noticed that trend. Maybe I just wasn't paying attention to the user's instance enough. I absolutely did notice the others you mentioned, though, but that may be because there are more bad eggs than good in those places lol
