I really like the current UI. I guess I'll learn to like the new UI, considering the improvements that will come with it.
Knowing the history of this particularly craft, I wouldn't recommend entering its fuselage.
I love his stuff. Each video I've watched has always started with "why the crap would I even care about this subject, but what the hell [play]", and ended with me sitting at the edge of my seat, after laughter and intrigue. I love his stuff.
Popularity aside, you sold me on the import compatibility. FreeOTP+ can export to other FreeOTP+ installations, but I've had issues with exporting to other apps. I had to manually import using the secrets displayed within FreeOTP+. The encryption sold me. I will be migrating to Aegis. I haven't heard of it until this post, and have been using FreeOTP+ sans encryption.
What's the benefit of Aegis over FreeOTP+?

Ah ok. Gotcha. You may want to look into hosting your own LLM. As long it's just for text, you don't need crazy resources. I'm not talking about hosting a front end to ChatGPT. I'm talking about hosting the backend. It won't be as good or as fast, but it'll basically only go down if you take it down.

You don't need to worry about formatting. The installer can do that for you as part of the process. Just make sure you merge all of the existing Windows partitions into one, then let the installer partition as needed. I'm not 100% sure about the Steam question, but I think I remember reading somewhere that this is the case.
Keep in mind, Linux isn't magic. If the hardware sucks, the hardware sucks. Games can take a lot of resources. Just make sure your old LAN party laptop can handle the games you want to play on it.
Side note: Mint Cinnamon is a perfect choice for a starter distro.
