It's almost like privatizing public services is, somehow, a bad idea. But, but, but... capitalism....

E: jokes aside. The findings in these studies, while obvious to some (possibly most) people, are extremely important. Feelings without supporting data, are just opinions. Feeling with supporting data, are facts. Because of this study, we now have facts to fight against further privatization of public services.

I wouldn't say that it migrated. I would say engagement increased on Lemmy and, with it, so did the toxic behavior. There are a lot more bitch fights on here now, but that comes with the territory of more posts. Reddit did seem to encourage this type of behavior, though. While there are some Lemmy instances that do seem to encourage toxicity (I have a couple in mind), the majority seem to be affected by it without actively encouraging it. Toxic behavior is, generally, human nature, because humans are toxic creatures. Most people, however, don't default to toxicity; they need to be encouraged into it.

I've broken several of them, and they kept their magnetism. Neodymium magnets are like friggin glass in their fragility, though.

I have neodymium magnets from another project. I should do that. They're about 2cm in diameter, but I can probably cut them to size.

Oh, for sure! It is annoying having to hold it as I work with it. But, I don't have a 3D printer, so I did what I could with the tools at my disposal. I am happy with it :)

Hey, that's neat! I use a scrap piece from a previous employer. It's a 2inch tall stainless steel combiner ring. Definitely not as cool as yours and definitely not light enough for magnetic holds. You win lol

If you maintain the OS, "ddosing the aur" isn't something you will do. So, zero times.

I've heard that Manjaro is a "bad OS", but I've been using it for a few years and haven't had any issues with it. As a noob, though, is probably avoid most Arch distros, though. They're not impossible or anything, but they can be intimidating and may leave a bad taste of Linux in your mouth if they're not set up right. I do like Fedora quite a bit. It and OpenSuse are my dailys. Mint was my go-to for years, and I would still highly recommend it for beginners. (E) Mint is a deb based distro.

Still a better love story than Twilight?

When the merger was first announced, my friend sent me a link to the Ryan Reynolds video of the announcement. I sent back, "cute vid. I sense a breach in our future lol"

I guess that 'lol' wasn't necessary...

I wasn't aware of their existence. Thank you. I see they're slightly less expensive than tmo's mint and don't require bulk buys, so that's nice.

For me, phenylephrine actually makes my congestion worse (in the sinuses and in the chest) and leads to longer recovery times. Did you know that some tussins contain phenylephrine? Yeah... I was too miserable the last time I was sick to read the actives list. Paid for it with an added week of recovery. Screw phenylephrine, those who approved it for sale, and those who added it to their meds.
