Ah. Yes. You are correct. I read the page, and assumed cf as a whole, not only as a DNS.
They use the acronym of RMA on their logo. My brain expanded that automatically to 'Return Merchandise Authorization.' Their logo literally made me cringe, as the standard RMA process is horrific. As bad as the standard RMA process is, the owner of this particular RMA is very clearly worse, so the cringe-effect was warranted. Shitstains of an existence, they are.
It was one of the best movies of its time.
Understood. Thanks for taking the time here. I promise I wasn't trolling. I know it sounded like it, but I genuinely misunderstood.
While true, to accomplish this, cf becomes a MitM, effectively making seeing encrypted traffic obsolete, as all traffic goes through cf unencrypted, before being re-encapsulated by cf again.
Edit, maybe I wasn't clear. It isn't a MitM attack, but it is a MitM (by design, it must be). In the wrong hands or the wrong management or under the wrong government, it could be the attacker, as it's in the perfect position to do so, but I highly doubt it will be in the current environment.
No, I got that part. Sorry. I don't think I'm explaining myself properly. Has a similar story been posted with the same "I'm an awesome manager" pretense that they're specifically making fun of, or is the post making fun of the types of posts on LinkedIn in general? I think, if I'm understanding the responses here correctly, it's the latter and I just took it too literally.
I read it...
Stories on LinkedIn be like
Meaning, there are actually stories just like this one. Right? Or are they being pedantic in their likeness? (I hope the latter...)
No way this is real.
Is...... is it?
That's a really cool use for this hack. Aaaaaaaaaaandd........ you rickrolled us hahahahahhahahha amazing!
I never explain exactly why. I skirt. "my phone isn't compatible with your app", "I don't have a modern smartphone that works with your app", "I don't install apps on my phone", "I don't have space on my phone for your app", "I only a work phone, and I'm not allowed to install anything", and so on. They don't care about your privacy, so don't give it as a reason. "it's not about privacy, I'm just poor".
Why? Because we're headed here.
