I've found out the hard way: Running the script during startup, and running it using the proper user authorization, are two different things.

I had inherited a similar one to that. Had to toss it when the audio stopped working, the color went beyond dim, the signal was all messed up, and it had magnetic damage (from the grand keeping his massive speakers on either side).

I'm not sure about LineageOS, but vanilla installations of GrapheneOS and CalyxOS aren't rooted (though I'm not how supported the 4a still is). I don't know about Securitynet, but I haven't noticed any issues with banking apps (yet).
