The Chinese concept of yin-yang is hard at work in this simple but sublimely composed photograph of a riverbank in Krakow. A perfect rectangle of snow is echoed in a neat section of river โ bisected by a ruler-straight riverbank โ while the black figure of a man set against the white contrasts with the swans gathered at his feet on the dark River Vistula.
