How do you fuck up a remaster this bad? Especially one where all you have to do is pop some new textures and models into a game that still runs on modern PCs.

BF2 was probably the FPS I sunk the most hours into. Look at what they did to itrage-cry

BF2 2005 appears to still be on Steam, worked good when last I played it. It's a shame about the "remaster" though.

Can confirm BF 2005 still works good. Recently played the campaign and some galactic conquest. Shits tight.

Multiplayer still works fine (as good as it can be which is mediocre) as well.

Install the HD graphics mod: https://www.moddb.com/mods/hd-graphics-mod and Star Wars Battlefront III Legacy mod: https://www.moddb.com/mods/star-wars-battlefront-iii-legacy

to get the definitive way to play the game and experience a bunch of awesome re-created/game-ported SWBF3 content

Hell Let Loose is its spiritual successor and way better (no pilotable aircraft though)

EDIT: ok maybe it's BF1942's spiritual successor
