Interesting. I wasn't aware of those other resurrection stories. If nothing else that shows it wasn't a novel concept in religion. I don't know that I would try to claim it resembles the Zeus / Dionysus one, except in the most superficial way. I mean if there's going to be a resurrection story in a religion it is likely going to be done by the head god, right?

I had started to read the book being critiqued back when I still believed. I got to thinking just now, why did I need to go reading for arguments for my faith if not because of a lack of good evidence. Like, nobody looks up arguments for why they should believe that acceleration due to gravity is the same in the same spot for objects of different masses. There's no need. The mountain of scientifically sound evidence is the argument. And in this case it can be recreated easily.
