I'm watching the dub so I've got a couple of weeks to go still, but I can't say I'm too upset. The mage trial arc has killed my enthusiasm for the series. These episodes are stretched out so much, it's almost Dragon Ball charging during a fight levels of bad.
I'd read the manga when it was coming out so I vaguely remembered it was coming, but I hadn't realised just how bad it was going to be on screen.
Yeahhh, I miss when years happened between episodes

Oh lol I actually really liked the mage trials arc, but I get what u mean about the episodes being a bit stretched out

now's the perfect time to start dungeon meshi if you haven't already! next week is the end of the first cour and this week was a big climactic battle that really permanently affects the tone of the series, the next few weeks are going to be wild

This was all season 1, just split in two. S2 still unconfirmed as far as I can tell.
