I gained a bunch of weight during the lock down and started snoring really badly. I've since lost most of the weight I've put on but kept snoring bad and began having other health problems. So yeah the Doc is having me put on one of those face mask thingies for a while.

People keep telling I'll sleep better but damn does the thing look fucking weird.

They do look goofy but starting to use one was literally life-changing; my sleep beforehand was so bad that my spouse, coworkers, and friends were all like "Damn, you okay?" all the time

Yeah my mom said her ex went on one and he lost like 10 pounds had had noticeably more energy so I'm hopeful. Honestly I could use the energy right now I'm working and going back to school.

my dad actually sleeps now. he had the same trepidation but said it was an extreme change for the better.

Yeah at first you're like damn this really kills my mojo. At least I was already in a long term relationship when I got mine, I think dating would be complicated with one.

Took about a week of getting used to but now it's fine. It's not as restricting as one might imagine. I even figured how to run mine off a reasonably small battery and have taken it backpacking.

No worries there cuz I've basically given up on dating. At my age I've just accepted I'm a permanent bachelor.
