I kind of hate how everyone rushed to re-create all the subreddits as magazines but they're nearly all just sitting there empty. (kbin.social)

With hundred of duplicates popping up, it's going to take a while. People still need to decide where there going. Eventually the communities will either merge, die off, or stand on there own merit.

@Sabata11792 it just feels like a kind of gross version of squatting. Not actually interested in making and moderating that community, just taking some kind of ownership over the name. And gatekeeping people who might actually want to bootstrap that community.
