I feel like ST fans have better nerd arguments over fine points like space socialism while SW dorks are screaming at an actress for being Asian.
There's actually a fairly sizable contigent of right wing Trek guys who like to screech about how the inventor of the warp drive built it so he could sell the design which is why capitalism is good actually. Don't mention that WW3 stuff where humans almost went extinct nuking each other before they got to space socialism though.
