From Generative AI to Greed AI in one simple step, no need to change the acronym either!

EA: you thought our games were garbage before? Hold our beer!

Jeeee every game is gonna look and feel the same. What i always wanted when gaming and they can now generate even faster and more generic lootboxes, whoohoo! /s

Gonna?

What does EA do that feels new and fresh?

[–] SteefLem@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Jedi survivor and fallen order and uuuhhh and… yeah…

[–] Xerxos@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

As if that wasn't what they were aiming for the whole time.

Its like everything i enjoy(ed) is being systematically murdered by AI, sorry by the wrong use of AI. Makes me sad.

I swear, everything becomes worse until there is no difference between hand made and AI

30% more most hated company incoming

[–] owen@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 year ago

Prepare your slop holes, folks!

[–] lorty@lemmy.ml 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Ok, not like they make any games worth discussing anyway.

EA Games, challenge everything. Like trying to make a good game.

[–] Omega_Haxors@lemmy.ml 4 points 1 year ago

Because EA is EA and EA is the worst.

Me and some friends were discussing about all the layoffs we were hearing about from every major game publisher, and the tech world in general.

Major layoffs, that is, despite also reporting good profits. Record high profits, in some cases.

I said it might me likely due to these companies looking to replace a portion of their workers with AI. Looks like I was right.

30% is a huuuge stretch. But it's ea one of the top most deluded I guess.

Oh man, I kinda hope this is the thing that kills EA.

But it probably won’t :(

Edit: not to mention, I’m pretty sure this is just a euphemism for “we’re going to fire 30% of our workforce”.

Despite all the hate AI tools get here, they havr their uses

Why not make your workforce 30% more productive and make your products 30% better?

Instead companies are using AI tools to make the same shitty product with less labour cost.

What's gonna happen is unemployment keeps going up, rich people get richer

These people sell giant blocks of ice for your wooden icebox, and they're excited by this new "freezer" technology. Their profit margins will be incredible... on all the giant blocks of ice people keep buying. Now that it's possible to make things cold, in a box, locally. That technology will surely help them sell more giant blocks of ice than ever. Now that any idiot can make ice.
