she's definitely alienated her base enough that she can't get re-elected but if she'd actually alienated her political allies they would have kicked her off committees or even out of the party entirely

She left her party willingly so that she could garner support from the other party and the private sector.

Why bother running again when she's likely got some cushy consulting gigs lined up.

Hedge funds will shower her with ill-gotten gains after ~~killing~~ preserving carrying interest loophole in some tax bill, she was literally shopping around what to oppose in that bill and got that
