13 years user, and lemmy reminds me of year 1
Ten plus years. I'd have to log in to my account to check and it's not worth it. Quitting reddit was surprisingly easy.
Well over 10 years. About 4 years ago found myself missing the "old" Reddit experience, lighthearted, tons of memes, silly, and interesting. Feels more like that on Lemmy.
It's good to be on the old internet. 10+ years, 300k nuked karma. I still have my account to take care of some subs but the activity is here.
Yeah me too. This place is cool. And my instance has neat stuff in the local feed too.
12+ years user, I nuked all my accounts when the 3rd party apps died. I still follow a few subs that have no replacement yet.
Those events right before summer reddit ensure its a smoldering pile of rotting compost.
I deleted my alt with 45k comment karma that was I think 14 years, my oldest account is a version of my actual name that I don’t want someone taking that is 16 years old, that I didn’t delete, but I did nuke all my comments.
11 years last year I checked, quit digg for reddit, quit reddit for lemmy, still lots to learn here. It's good to be here.
I'm one of 'em. Killing Sync (and every other awesome 3rd party client) was the straw that broke this camel's back.
Around 11 years here, still using Reddit but slowly making the transition to Lemmy. Has been a great experience so far, I hope more people migrate so we can have more active communities.

My main account over there isn't that old, but I've been using the site off/on for probably at least that long. I mainly was a reader/lurker over there for years as I didn't really feel like posting as at the time almost everything I posted got downvoted for some reason. Then over time as I got older I cared less about that and started posting more. Last I checked I think my karma was 100,000-something.

12 years. The couple times I have gone back since joining here I can't help but notice how toxic the comments are. Didn't notice it before... Must've been a boiling frog phenomenon .
Much more joyous here. I'm hoping that vibe stays around here for a little while.
Would have 12 years in August here. There's some fandom-centric communities that I miss from my old reddit sub list, but honestly I'm thoroughly enjoying lemmy. I mostly stuck to the official app and the desktop old reddit before dropping it for lemmy, It's so damn nice not seeing He Gets Us ads or casino ads like every 4-5 posts. I left reddit just about when they announced the API cost changes and was like, welp that's going to kill everything. I got an email about Lemmy SDF because of my Mastodon and basically said hey might as well jump ship now and check this thing out.
11 years. I want to view controversial content and I'm not feeling too optomistic about lemmy world either.
I was there for right around 10 years. Deleted all my comments off my main with powerdeletesuite before the api was nuked.
10 years, pretty much on the nose, I was there until RIF went away, and been here since.
Over 10 years on the account, 1 or 2 extras of lurking before that.
I'm gone for the most part, I don't ever open Reddit just to scroll since I jumped to Lemmy, but I do still add "Reddit" at the end of my Google searches because search engines have become useless and that's still the best way I know to get somewhat unbiased replies on just about any topic.
14y 6mo. I only logged in just now for the first time in 4 weeks to actually check how long I was a member.
I left Digg and headed over to Reddit for similar reasons.

15 Year club... sad to leave. But even sadder to see what has become. Don't plan on deleting my account but I won't renew my premium when it comes back up.

10+ years. Deleted my account, posts and comments. It was long and slow decision. It's just not the same reddit I feel in love with. Carma whoring, vanity, both far right and far left junk, bots (hate bots), the terrible UI... Finally, when I could no longer use RIF, that was it. I actually worked on a reddit API based app a few years ago and this really pissed me off on that level too.
14 year account, I'm done with reddit.
