This headline pisses me off.

It's not 'sparking debate,' it's causing anger and frustration. Nobody other than Marlaina and her cronies are discussing the supposed positives of this.

It's push back around Alberta's new policies regarding trans folks. They want to disallow (or already did? I'd have to double check) trans kids from going by their preferred names at school without parental permission. Well, Danielle Smith's first name is Marlaina and she hasn't shown any parental permission to be going by her middle name.
