Then get him out of the rankings please.

He's a great fighter but let others earn their shots without him squatting.

I wonder if you create two pools of fighters, ranked and prize fighters. The ranked fighters would face rankings based matchmaking and be merit based, the higher your ranking the higher your pay. The prize fighter division wouldn’t hold up the rankings and would be based on fan favourites. I just realised I am describing PFL. I wonder what PFL would be like with a better roster.
