The only reason people brought warlocks with them in vanilla was as soul stone vendors for raid healers and to summon people too lazy to fly to the dungeon, so in Burning Crusade Blizzard they cranked up all of their abilities and stats so much it made them utter bullshit to play against, virtually all of the top arena teams had a warlock and the only classes that could compete with them for raid damage were mages or rogues.

Hey. Woah woah. It was only the succubus sacrifice + nightfall warlocks that were ever topping any charts, and pretty much only for BT and Sunwell. And you had to have enough haste on your gear that you got extra corruption ticks, which you really only had if you were doing BT and Sunwell. Tier 5 for Warlock had 0 haste.
