Have you seen the other pictures? They're hilarious. What a nightmare. People have got to quit paying money for sketchy shit they see on facebook.

Tbh this looks like the right kind of sketchy shit you’d go to for fun

[–] frickineh@lemmy.world 12 points 1 year ago

Not for $45 though. Maybe if it'd been more like $5 it'd be worth it for the pictures, but definitely not that much.

It was clearly an AI generated event, based on the artwork.

Abysmal looking event.

That girl has "last minute temp agency assignment" written all over her.

I hope people don't hate on the staff too much, they are as much victims of the event organizer as anyone. Poor bastards, Id have scribbled personal contact detail for all the organisers I knew of, pinned them to a wall, and left.

She posted something on tiktok about not knowing the event was going to be so bad lol

Looks like Debbie Downer's living life to the max.

[–] TubeTalkerX@kbin.social 6 points 1 year ago

Now someone needs to recreate this event and sell tickets for $90.

She looks like she’d have a different kind of cautionary lesson to sing to children.

Advertised the Willy Wonka Experience, gave the Slurm Experience instead.

"Tell them I hate them!"

[–] Oiconomia@feddit.de 3 points 1 year ago (2 children)

I see no giant snail producing slurm

[–] Kolanaki@yiffit.net 2 points 1 year ago

Well yeah; they keep that shit behind the locked "Employees Only" door.

[–] samus12345@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

They even managed to make the Slurm Experience disappointing.

[–] AZERTY@feddit.nl 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Is this from that Wonka event that people were upset about?

This is literally unreadable on mobile. Ads suuuuuuüuuuck

[–] loki@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

Of course, one could argue that a Willy Wonka-inspired event that ended with angry parents and crying children is more authentic to Dahl’s novel than any of the recent Wonka movies.

this was funny.
