In the Cars universe do they say Rust In Peace? I've been wondering this for a while.

I had a genuine 1hr conversation about cars lore and history. Like the existence of certain cars and city structures implying historical events. Like car pope implying car Jesus and car religious wars as well as possibly car feudalism or a certain jeep implying car Hitler and possibly car communism. Also possible car 9/11? If car 9/11 happened did they enlist planes for this task because planes are separate sentient creatures or do planes meant for carrying cars exist? If boats are also independent sentient creatures do they have sentient warships and how does this affect the philosophy of this universe? Are certain vehicles predestined to a certain life because of their make and model? Are there car minorites and would a bodykit intended to look like a certain real model be analogous to blackface if that model is considered a significant minority?

Also if cars came to be sentient creatures at a later point (due to something like an alien symbiote that can integrate itself into machinery) and humans once did exist then why did these creatures adopt so much of human geopolitics?

Would major communist leaders actually be public transportarion vehicles was also a thought we had.

I wanna be clear that 0 drugs were involved but I wish they had been because it would have lasted much longer than an hour

Cars lore is an infohazard

If you have all of these questions, fear not, because Kill James Bond has a podcast episode on Cars 2 where they wonder the same things:

Speaking of Cars 9/11, we know planes are sentient, but are buildings sentient, too?

[–] sharkfucker420@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

There's no evidence of this afaik

Sentience is relegated specifically to transportation machinary

What Zero History does to a motherfucker.

Zero history or deliberate CIA op? I'm sure one of the icons of this Women's March group is famous feminist Gloria Steinam, a former CIA operative. The CIA was quite busy during the cold war in subverting various movements away from class politics, from the arts to identity politics.

Zero history or deliberate CIA op?

I doubt Steinam is personally banging out tweets. But I would have said the same thing about Elon Musk, and he's so poisoned he got the damned Twitter injected directly into his brain.

The only good thing Barbara Bush did was provide quality gag material to the episode of The Simpsons where the Bush's move in across the street

They would be in a state of ecstatic adoration if their WASP Queen gave them so much as a single glowering look.

Say what you will about her, she identified as woman and that's a fact.
