I also don’t see how it’s a criticism of women. If you let a woman get away with atrocities because your dick gets hard and you can’t separate primal emotions from politicking, then you’re just a rube who doesn’t deserve power or any social influence. Also, teach the next generation to separate those things if you’re so afraid of it
I don't think it's incorrect to say that women get away with things men don't, but the statement doesn't recognize that men get away with things women don't, and on balance get away with a hell of a lot more than women. In a just world, everyone would just be treated equally.
I have no idea why anyone in this game is attracted to Asterion when Karlach is standing right there

Lae’zel made some comments about my being a tiefling and the racist murder frog hasn’t left camp since
I let shadowheart murder her in her sleep because fuck the racist. I’ve heard she’s a sweetheart if you give her a chance, but I don’t have time for that.
She is an indoctrinated warrior to an evil Lich and she continues to grow through her experience with you. By the end of my run she is basically running an insurgent cell to overthrow Vlakith.

Astarion wasn't a bad guy, he was a desperate and scared guy.
If he hadn't been a twink, online MRA nerds would be howling at him for being a Karen, a manipulative tease, and a moody bitch.
They'd have reviled him for trying to rise above his station and despised him for seducing all those innocent men and women to their doom.
Lady Astarion would be an MRA meme overnight.

I did not like Astarion. Your first three interactions with him are framed as him trying to ambush you, and in one case is heavily coded as sexual assault. He's not a lovable rogue, he's a rapist murderer and his potential rape and murder victims can include your player character. Actions for which he feels NO remorse.
