Something that happened or was uncovered recently anywhere in the world. It doesn't have to have global implications. Just has to be informative in some way.

While I agree she was 15 at the time. 15 year olds are pretty stupid, there’s a reason they don’t have complete agency until 18.

While that's true, so many of her actions were plainly voluntary, and she's done a lot since she was 15. She was a police officer enforcing Sharia law for crying out loud. She isn't innocent.

Even after returning, she's repeatedly stated she doesn't regret what she did, that she believes that joining a terrorist organisation was the right thing to do. She's also said that things like the Manchester bombing (where teenage girls at a concert were blown up), and other terrorist attacks, were justified.

15 year olds are held accountable in the UK if they demonstrate they know what they were doing (which Begum did and adamantly maintains to this day she knew exactly what she was getting into).

Brianna Ghey (the trans girl in the news recently, murdered by her "friends" in a particularly callous way) was murdered by two 15 year olds, both of whom are in prison. It's very normal for courts to charge 15 year olds when they consciously do evil things.

I don't think Begum should be given a pass just because she was 15 at the start. She demonstrated she knew what she was doing then, continued gleefully serving ISIS and actively bringing others into it for years after, and has said she has zero regrets of doing so, that part really needs to be stressed.

The UK was right to say she's a national security threat and remove her citizenship. That's kinda what happens when you go to syria join ISIS.

I hope the consequences of her actions have Begum to set in.

Her actions after becoming 18 certainly make her seem not worthy of citizenship.

So now she's stateless and might end up anywhere? Fucking brits can't pick up after themselves can they? Buses in Calais should have an extra payload, since apparently fuck decency and everyone for themselves.
