I mean this is basically homeopathy right?

[–] MorelaakIsBack@hexbear.net 28 points 1 year ago

homeopathy doesn't breed drug resistant bacteria as an after effect of it's stupidity

[–] JohnBrownNote@hexbear.net 19 points 1 year ago

no, homeopathy would be dissolving a pill in a swimming pool, taking a milliliter of that water and putting it in a second pool and then charging $50 for a sip of the second pool.

I dilute plutonium and microdose that.

[–] Raebxeh@hexbear.net 7 points 1 year ago

If you dilute it as much as homeopaths dilute their “medicines”, the final product would literally be safe to consume because it wouldn’t contain a single atom of plutonium.

Homeopathy is specifically about diluting things with water until they are 100% water. My local CVS sells homeopathic “equivalents” right next to the real ones with almost identical packaging and it boils my blood.

Elizabeth Holmes' idea before Theranos was for a transdermal patch that would delivery microscopic doses of antibiotics to cure infections early (a thing which is physically impossible in a number of respects).
