losers got owned today grow the fuck up and read the room

[–] TimeTravel_0@hexbear.net 57 points 2 years ago (2 children)

what does this even mean? do libs just assume we dont give a shit about people dying in ukraine?

I mean if they are so troubled by all the death in ukraine, objectively speaking pulling NAFO support and surrendering would be the quickest and easiest way to stop the bloodshed. Its clear to anyone with any sense that Ukraine is going to lose anyway, so its just a prolonging of suffering at this point.

[–] Infamousblt@hexbear.net 44 points 2 years ago (2 children)

No see we don't care about the right people dying. Libs love death it just has to be the right kind of people

[–] TimeTravel_0@hexbear.net 37 points 2 years ago

libs gooning to combat footage of russians getting their limbs blown off by suicide drones

[–] BeamBrain@hexbear.net 29 points 2 years ago

Libs love death it just has to be the right kind of people

So do we, the crucial distinction is who counts as "the right kind of people"

For us, it's scared-fash porky-scared-flipped barbara-pit officer-down

For libs, it's us-foreign-policy

[–] edge@hexbear.net 15 points 2 years ago

so its just a prolonging of suffering at this point

Always has been.

If a liberal ever says your country is undemocratic, they will kill you

NAFO dorks when Ukraine takes an L:

Yet some of you think this is an appropriate time to act like this is a school playground.

NAFO dorks normally:

Putin is gay and has le tiny penis xD

[–] ashinadash@hexbear.net 29 points 2 years ago

Russia might be better if Putin were gay sicko-wistful

[–] Harajukum@hexbear.net 51 points 2 years ago

growing up is realizing NATO is slowly abandoning The Ukraine zelensky-pain

[–] edge@hexbear.net 43 points 2 years ago

Ukrainian prisoners of war were executed

You mean like when Ukraine shot down a plane full of 65 Ukrainian POWs who were on their way to be released?

[–] FlakesBongler@hexbear.net 42 points 2 years ago (2 children)

And yet, I bet if we go through their post history, I bet we would find lots of times where they were gleeful about Russian casualties

[–] PKMKII@hexbear.net 44 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Quite frankly, these types don’t really give a shit about Ukrainian lives. They’d gladly throw a dozen ukraines on the fire if it meant regime change in Moscow.

[–] FumpyAer@hexbear.net 14 points 2 years ago

Dozens

Try hundreds of thousands.

[–] sir_this_is_a_wendys@hexbear.net 6 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I'm still not really certain why they are so invested in regime change in Russia...other than it wouldn't really change their material conditions...but liberals don't know about those 🤔

[–] PKMKII@hexbear.net 5 points 2 years ago

Because they hold Putin personally responsible for Donnie boy beating the anointed one in 2016

[–] RyanGosling@hexbear.net 7 points 2 years ago

NAFOids turned on Navalny because his advisors said “celebrating the deaths of random Russian deaths unrelated to the war makes it harder for us to resist Putin because he just points to anti-Russian sentiment as reason for staying in power”

[–] footfaults@hexbear.net 38 points 2 years ago

Khorne lost some skulls today

Yet some of you think this is an appropriate time to act like this is a school playground

Ukrainian prisoners of war were executed

Source: my gaping asshole

[–] Alaskaball@hexbear.net 31 points 2 years ago

of course the Russians fascists went around executing Ukrainian POWs, didn't you see that one video of Russian soldiers laughing as they shot Ukrainian POWs in the knees?

[–] chickentendrils@hexbear.net 30 points 2 years ago

NATO can only add gas to fires lit by the CIA.

That was their first mistake, if they expected anything other than significant loss of life & infrastructure, millions of refugees, and a perpetual security crisis in the destabilized post-war Ukraine which will serve to justify recurring Russian or NATO occupation of it in the future.

[–] Assian_Candor@hexbear.net 25 points 2 years ago (1 children)

A whole bunch of nazis got thrown in a pit and you think this is fucking funny?!

[–] zed_proclaimer@hexbear.net 24 points 2 years ago (1 children)

i love watching pro-ukraine youtube channels coping and seething about avdiivka

[–] VILenin@hexbear.net 10 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Who’s still left being an unpaid ukro dicksucker? Even most liberals have moved onto cheering for Israel’s genocide

[–] zed_proclaimer@hexbear.net 11 points 2 years ago (1 children)

This guy was an Australian soldier in Afghanistan then volunteered for Ukraine and has since left and is now pro-Ukraine but very much a doomer. It's fun to see the recriminations start as he points to Ukrainian corruption and getting pissed they are blaming the west for not giving more money. "We already gave you hundreds of billions!" etc.

I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:

NAFO guy should grow up and enlist in the Ukrainian Legion if he cares that much.

[–] keepcarrot@hexbear.net 17 points 2 years ago (3 children)

I do feel like telling conservatives to grow up is quite effective since they view "the left" as naive, as though trusting the local powerful people is the most grown up option. Gotta do it first and immediately after a pretty airtight argument.

[–] ReadFanon@hexbear.net 12 points 2 years ago

Another great angle that's similar in tone is to tell them to take responsibility.

The more conservative someone is in their politics, the more they buy into the narrative about personal responsibility. But if you look critically at their arguments, they will often argue that things "just happened" or that they had to respond in a certain way.

The other thing is when they ignore or deny the existence of something, such as the concentration camps at the border. They'll euphemise them and you can argue that they are literal concentration camps by their very definition.

Whatever the case, going in on them from the angle of a lack of personal responsibility always stings.

[–] anarchoilluminati@hexbear.net 8 points 2 years ago

Calling chuds 'weak cowards' that just want to hide behind bigger, stronger men than they are themselves because they aren't heroic or fearless enough to stand up for themselves nor for others, unlike Communists, also triggers them.

There's really no way to own the far right besides just grounding them into paste. They ideology is literally just narcissistic fantasy, no matter how big an L they take they will do the mental gymnastics to make themselves out to be the cool winners. Any loss short of death they will dream up a way to present it that makes them look good to other right wingers.

EDIT: Opinion retracted. Remove this for liberalism if you must.

[–] zed_proclaimer@hexbear.net 9 points 2 years ago

bad take. NAFOs are fascists who want to kill you and your family

[–] Gay_Tomato@hexbear.net 8 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

Its literally the "liberal" version of fren. Like they already did exactly what your considering and this is the outcome. badeline-bruh

[–] DragonBallZinn@hexbear.net 7 points 2 years ago

Ok, I take it back.

I still wish some NAFOs with rainbow flags in their names a very give Graeber or Parenti a read.
