MODERATORS

Even as they insist they are not dancing to Donald Trump's tune on NATO, European leaders are singing from a song sheet designed to appeal to the former U.S. president and his Republican supporters.

Trump sparked fierce criticism from Western officials for suggesting he would not protect countries that failed to meet the transatlantic military alliance's defence spending targets, and would even encourage Russia to attack them.

At the weekend, the comments by the frontrunner for the Republican presidential nomination hung over the Munich Security Conference, a big annual gathering of politicians, soldiers and diplomats that is often a barometer of U.S.-European relations.

European leaders are anxious not only about NATO’s future if Trump beats incumbent President Joe Biden in November but also about a hold-up to a $60 billion Ukraine aid package in the U.S. Congress, as Republicans demand border security measures to pass the bill.

If they complain about food prices, just show them what happened to wheat prices right after the Feb 2022 invasion:

Switch the chart to 5 year chart for a full picture.

The price has somewhat stabilized only through the sacrifice of Ukrainians who are still doing everything possible to get their crops out to the world despite Russia's best attempts.

Agreeing on 2% NATO spending from 2024 onward 10 years ago, agreeing on multi-billion support packages from the EU and EU countries individually for months, finalising yearly budgets end of 2023... that's obviously all meaningsless.

EU countries actually spend money on Ukraine because some brain-damaged orange monkey drooled. Yeah, that makes sense. All hail that idiot.

Btw: To demonstrate my importance I demand that the sun rises next morning. Don't forget to praise my power, too, when it bows to my will tomorrow!
