I feel like there's a point in here somewhere with how comfortably Loran changes his jobs and clothing, that even when he "wears" the ultimate machine of destruction, all that really shows is his inner kindness and willingness to help others. That's how we end up seeing the devil machine doing laundry, becoming a bridge, and transporting livestock.

yeah for sure. it's super interesting stuff, and i think the laura stuff ties in really neatly with it. as much as i personally might read loran as transfem, i think the clear intent is that loran doesn't see themself as having any real identity and is willing to wear any hat so long as it will help people. piloting the gundam, becoming laura, being the driver for guin. it's all the same, loran could be happy with any so long as they're serving a higher purpose
