This is where you come to post big-brained hot takes by chuds, libs, or even fellow leftists, and tear them to itty-bitty pieces with precision dunkstrikes.

Rule 1: All posts must include links to the subject matter, and no identifying information should be redacted.

Rule 2: If your source is a reactionary website, please use archive.is instead of linking directly.

Rule 3: No sectarianism.

Rule 4: TERF/SWERFs Not Welcome

Rule 5: No ableism of any kind (that includes stuff like libt*rd)

Rule 6: Do not post fellow hexbears.

Rule 7: Do not individually target other instances' admins or moderators.

I was fully expecting Greta to become more of a lib as she grew up and experienced the full weight of Western propaganda and am so happy I was wrong. What am incredibly based person

The power of autism (climate being a special interest) + being shown time after time directly that the Davos crowd is completely unserious about solving it is potent.

They are very serious when it means the country protecting nature is in the third world and needs to halt its development

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 25 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Ehh, even then they still want to maintain a very specific form of development that funnels the resources and labor from those countries into the imperial core. But they are opposed to real economic development that would lead to any kind of prosperity in the imperial periphery, yes.

yeah, they're keen on the standards of living or the education level not improving, but dont mind a million tons of leftover mining slag aaaaaacccidentally pouring into rivers...

very green.

[–] FreudianCafe@lemmy.ml 15 points 2 years ago (1 children)

The slug comes from the metal they mined, metals come from nature,, so its all natural. Green af

[–] alcoholicorn@hexbear.net 11 points 2 years ago (1 children)

(The green is from uranium and manganese oxides)

[–] FreudianCafe@lemmy.ml 11 points 2 years ago

At some point, even the local population gets greener

maybe-later-honey "Well, I was thinking about maybe stopping doing nothing to mitigate the climate change mass-extinction event. But then four people suggested that I shouldn't support a genocide? So, obviously, forget that!"

[–] Spongebobsquarejuche@hexbear.net 10 points 2 years ago

Oh and I was was going to fix the climate! But since you decided to be such a jerk, I'm not gonna.

Won't the middle east become uninhabitable if they don't deal with climate change?

[–] Evilsandwichman@hexbear.net 3 points 2 years ago

It's fine, Isn'trael will just take us all up on the offer of just taking Germany instead and come up with new reasons why they're justified.

I'm a bit of an eco-activist myself. What do you mean eco-fascism isn't real eco activism?!?!

When we're like 80 and senile, the chuds that survive are still going to be mad about her.

[–] SkingradGuard@hexbear.net 14 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

Lol everyone in my extremely chud area keeps saying her parents forced her to do climate activism and is funded by Soros. Doesn't look like it.

[–] RyanGosling@hexbear.net 7 points 2 years ago

Soros is a Marxist communist democrat who hates Americans and white peoples, so it’s pretty clear that he’s forcing Greta to support Palestine.

[–] Comp4@hexbear.net 9 points 2 years ago

Greta Basedberg

[–] Bloobish@hexbear.net 2 points 2 years ago

It's Forbes magazine, if WW3 happens I'll bet money that they will have written glowing pieces on whatever fascist leaders arise during that conflict the same way Time magazine did for fucking Hitler and Mousilini (or maybe it was the New York Post? I forget...)
