Whether they be eccentricities, mental disturbances, dogmatic zealotry, some people's…peculiarities…just refuse to allow them to keep a low profile.

Previously on c/michigan: Detroit-area terror suspect Yousef Ramadan jailed amid bomb, Islamic State concerns

Ypsilanti weapons enthusiast and DIY hobbyist Yousef Mohammed Ramadan is being sent back to federal prison for violating conditions of his release while under court supervision. His laywers sustain he is a victim of his heritage/religion and not because he continued to download plans for pipe bombs, poisons, 3D-printable firearms and ISIS-related literature and continued his constitutionally guaranteed right as an American to amass and stockpile as many firearms as he pleases. Oh, and of course, his darling but innocuous selfies.

"Why was he in prison in the first place," you ask?

The order by U.S. District Judge Terrence Berg comes one week after Yousef Mohammad Ramadan was temporarily jailed amid government complaints that the ex-con was violating conditions of supervised release imposed as part of his conviction on three gun charges. That case followed an FBI counterterrorism investigation that portrayed Ramadan as an ardent ISIS supporter and dangerous man.

Ramadan, who was less than one month away from being free of court supervision, was sent back to federal prison for two months and ordered to serve 34 additional months under court oversight.

Emphasis mine. Like I'd said in my opening paragraph. For whatever reason, he just couldn't do it.

Ramadan's lawyers had pushed for his release, saying he was being punished for his beliefs and that consuming ISIS-related content was not a violation of supervised release.

Defense lawyer Amanda Bashi said that Ramadan…

has "generally complied" while under court supervision

This is like a TV procedural where the cops know someone is a criminal and a danger to the public, but can't pin anything major to them. I'm sure he's now on every single watch list there is. If anyone has their own personal FBI agent, it's this guy.

"Personal FBI agent"! That's rich!

As I said in so many words, this guy is a huge, indelible, walking red flag. Due to his insistent zealotry, he will always have eyes on him and his family.
