How can we get the users from r/EDC to migrate over here? (lemmy.world)

As you know, r/EDC has been down for a while now and I don't know if it will ever come back. If only the users from that sub knew about this Lemmy community, I bet we could make this our new home.

Fuck Reddit. I really enjoyed that subreddit.

Any ideas?

The best thing you can do is what you've already been doing: post here. I should do that more frequently too.

Ask the mods there to put a link in the sidebar? Make a post there?

Good idea. I sent them a message asking to reopen the sub temporarily but lock everything but a stickied post that notifies users about the Lemmy migration, and/or put it in the sidebar. Let's hope they see it.

I failed to migrate a sub I moderated to lemmy.

When I posted a link it was aggressively downvoted. One user even reported the post as spam.
