Republicans banning books is stupid for two reasons

It just brings more attention to it, meaning kids will seek it out because it's banned, and that's cool
Kids aren't going to read physical copies of books anyways. It's all on their phone or tablet, and they're smarter getting around any blocks that the old people could set up
