Congrats on your transition. You look amazing.

You got to it first. I was going to comment on the amazing/nicer hair.

They look happier.

Doesn't say that "me" means Travis in the first picture, might just be Laura showing off her dice collection, held by her husband

[–] iAmTheTot@kbin.social 13 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Ah, the ol' kbin trans-aroo.

[–] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.world 13 points 2 years ago

Pretty sure kbin trans-aroo is a Klingon delicacy

[–] ada@lemmy.blahaj.zone 33 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Well, I thought this was a meme in a trans community...

Seen this meme like 3-4 times past day or 2, and only now understood it's about the sack lmao

I’m definitely the odd one out here. I’ve had the same $10 set that’s carried me through probably a dozen campaigns.

[–] DmMacniel@feddit.de 10 points 2 years ago (2 children)

How are you so strong willed?

[–] ThatWeirdGuy1001@lemmy.world 12 points 2 years ago

Because spending money on something you already have is kinda whack

[–] Susaga@ttrpg.network 5 points 2 years ago

There are dice goblins who get as many as possible and dice elves who have a few good dice they treasure.

[–] Aielman15@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

I don't even have that. I use a dice app.

I did gift a metal dice set to a friend, though, so I did my part.

[–] megane_kun@lemm.ee 2 points 2 years ago

Same. I bought a cheap set when I began, but I've bought a handful of D6 dice mostly for sneak attacks. Currently, all of my dice can still fit in a 2"×2" cloth drawstring bag.

It's been a while since I played D&D though.

[–] phase@lemmy.8th.world 1 points 2 years ago

Why not rolling advantage with two d20 at once? Why playing DnD only? I needed 2d10 to play Ironsworn 10d10 for COPS, 2d6 for Dungeon World, 4d6 for Fate, 10d6 for Shadowrun, ...

I'm in this picture and I hate it.

[–] explodicle@local106.com 7 points 2 years ago

I'm proud of it! That huge bag is full of high level spells, sneak attacks, and brutal criticals. Way more satisfying to roll it all at once.

[–] CobblerScholar@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago

Me, who also started making his own gear.....

[–] ChicoSuave@lemmy.world 5 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I see they started with D&D and moved to a West End D6 game.

[–] hydrospanner@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

WEG's Star Wars D6 is fantastic.

[–] poppy@lemm.ee 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

May I ask what player group/series this is and do y’all recommend it?

[–] idogoodjob@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Critical role, prolly one of the most popular groups. Very much recommend

[–] poppy@lemm.ee 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Thank you! I’ve heard/read the name but had never seen clips (at least of these two). I’ll have to check it out. I’ve only listened to TTRPG podcasts haven’t watched.

[–] Landless2029@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago

Critical role started ages ago. I've followed all of it.

If you care about good production quality you can start with campaign 2.

I love campaign 1 since you see them in their characters. It's basically them playing their home game with cameras. Super rough around the edges.

One huge reason CR is popular is because the cast is all professional voice actors. These people become their characters. It's fantastic.

[–] shasta@lemm.ee 2 points 2 years ago

She must be a rogue. That's just the d6 bag.

[–] Etterra@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

Just the one dice bag then? That's cute.

[–] sirico@feddit.uk 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Hey guys have you heard of Cyberpunk?

[–] uid0gid0@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago

I just checked and I have 3 sets of Shadowrun dice, so over a hundred in just 12mm d6. That's not even counting the dungeon dice sets I've bought since the mid 80s.
