It's getting increasingly difficult to tell these days.
Trump has been beyond parody for a long time now. If someone from a universe where Trump didn't exist heard about about the last 10 years, they'd refuse to believe it was real and demand we make up something more believable next time.
Yeh if this was a show pitched in 2014 it would be too far fetched for audiences.

There are a legion of middle aged Trump supporting men out there who know their daughter already thinks that they are an uncool bigoted old fuck and barely listens to them.
