Dude from high school contacted me out of nowhere. "You seem like you're good with people. I've got an opportunity for you!" Me: "I'm an engineer with autism, what do you think?"
He seemed truly surprised that I wouldn't jump at the opportunity. And to top it off, he never could tell me exactly what he was trying to sell.
And if it's such a good opportunity then why are you trying to push it onto me.
If he wasn't telling you, it was Amway.
So glad I'm no longer on any social media platforms where these people hunt. I left Facebook (for unrelated reasons) shortly after I got an invite to someone's Oriflame page. :D
My sister got into one. They are literal cults of personality.
I remember a couple of years ago someone from high school (2 years ahead of me) messaged me out of the blue. I never really interacted with that person even back in high school, and their opening message was asking if I had zoom. Checked out her profile and as expected, MLM.
