It's probably something really horrible like they realized they couldnt put literally hitler in as an aryan child so they put Stalin in instead as a closest proxy for edgy anime pedos.

nitter.net let their cert expire but other people are running nitter still. nitter.1d4.us works for me pretty consistently when musk hasn't fucked with the API recently. The project keeps a list of public instances in their wiki: https://github.com/zedeus/nitter/wiki/Instances.
Well I found one that worked. Its not showing up as a link here on hexbear lol but if you copy paste it it works. For now.
