Very good summary, however, it won't take that long. The western liberals are running into the perfect storm. bye bye..

This is the place for discussing the potential collapse of modern civilization and the environment.
Collapse, in this context, refers to the significant loss of an established level or complexity towards a much simpler state. It can occur differently within many areas, orderly or chaotically, and be willing or unwilling. It does not necessarily imply human extinction or a singular, global event. Although, the longer the duration, the more it resembles a ‘decline’ instead of collapse.

This article gets a few things wrong. The first being that western countries don’t make stuff. The USA exported only $600 million less than China last year. The next 9 counties ranked in amount of exports are all part of the “Western” trade bloc. It also makes incorrect statements regarding natural resources. Last year Canada and the USA combined produced the same amount of oil as Saudi’s Arabia and Russia combined. As we switch away from fossil fuels this is less important anyway. Rare earth metals are going to be the big issue from a resource standpoint. The author seemed to spend a lot of time getting the history of fiat currency down, but didn’t do a simple search to check to see if the assumptions being made about a possible impacts are based on fact.
