Hollywood has no idea how to make the new movies as charming as the old ones.

I guess that previous Ghostbuster movie I didn't see got retconned. Poof.. right into the containment box of forgotten nightmares.

Yeah, the 2016 seems to not exist anymore, if thats the one you talk about. A huge miss that one. Though I wish they'd kept the one interesting character.

The current previous one, Afterlife, from 2021, was great. And obviously not retconned.

And this new one seems to play a bit too much on getting the original team back together for nostalgia, and too little focus on the new team of kids. But thats just the trailer, I'll withold judgements until I've seen it.

It's what the last one focused on, but was still a pretty enjoyable movie, but note it did feel slightly Disney like too.

Oh cool - Carrie Coon's in this (though the trailer doesn't feature her much). Was mad seeing her in a Gone Girl rewatch after finishing the latest Gilded Age season - she's got an impressive range.
