Get ready for the woke alliance to elect President Ahmad bin Kendrick Shakur

I hope all of our American comrades make it out of this safely and soundly should it go sour

The real map (for context, it's a map of states supporting Texas in their dispute with Border Patrol) makes sense because it's all Republican dominated states. I'm sure more Republican states will join in supporting Texas. There's a good chance that if we have a Civil War, the map (at the state level) isn't going to be very different from recent presidential election maps, except maybe Virginia.

The A24 map is the stupidest shit I've ever seen. The South in an alliance but it doesn't include North and especially South Carolina? Washington, Oregon, and Minnesota siding with the northern plains and mountain states? California and Texas reestablishing their Republics makes sense, but if you read more about the movie, it turns out they're allied with each other which is just ridiculous.

How do you even fuck up that bad? It feels like whoever made it knows almost nothing about American politics.

American fantasies about the civil war aren’t materialist. It’s all vibes based

Even then, the vibes just don’t match up.

you gotta hand it to A24, though... this is one hell of an ambitious marketing campaign
