Better to do the right thing for the wrong reason than the wrong thing for any reason.
I mean, as a cynical, jaded, whateverer - I get it. But believe it or not there are a couple of people in those companies who do actually support good things and make an effort to say so.
Does it excuse all the harm they do or whatever? Nah. But just saying, it's not 100% cynical manipulation, there's some percentage of it which is honest. And there absolutely was a time when they didn't even have that. So, one could look at it as an improvement.
Good on Mega Corp to support Good Cause now that it's politically acceptable.
