So basically a nice little PC with more RAM coming?

But what's the price?

Have you gotten it yet? If so, what do you think?

Yes, I've gottten it and suceeded to install Orange Pi OS, but as I actually wanted debian server which I'm still trying to install.

In about half an hour I was testing installig few stuff (Docker, ZeroTier, ...) it was alright, mine main test was to check will cpu be too hot on touch.

I need a router for my Homelab and had my heart set on a firewall PC from AliExpress[1], but after reading this, maybe I should get an Orange Pi 5 instead.

Not bad pricing; $218 CAD on AliExpress for the 16GB RAM model with power adaptor. For environmental reasons with its lower power consumption, I should maybe get one instead of running things off my desktop.

On the other hand, a 24GB video card would allow for much more powerful LLMs and AI-image generation, which might be more useful (if a lot more expensive and power hungry).

If money and time to tinker were no issue, I'd do both, lol.
