Lots of people like to dress up their hatred of Americans as Marxism.

Like, America has enough issues that one thinks it would be easy enough to hate us without resorting to simping for theocracies and authoritarian states. But it seems nothing less than a pure and Manichean struggle will satisfy some people.

I had to look up what Manichean meant; interesting word.

Anyway, this has become a common malady these days. Psychologists call it splitting. It used to be associated with bipolar disorder, but we live in such a complex world that I think it's become a sort of coping mechanism for many.

People want a simple world that makes sense with good guys and bad guys. If only this tendency wasn't so exploitable.

if only there were some way to communicate about all that shit without leaning on all the "isms", but even great men like V.I. need a crutch sometimes i guess

What do you propose replace the using of "isms" they're a very convenient shorthand for very huge and interconnected ideas.

Based. That reminds me, I like to reclaim my time from work by listening to political podcasts and videos. Ayone have recommendations for Lenin in an audiobook format on youtube?
