The rest of that MLK Jr quote (part of a longer letter).

, who is more devoted to 'order' than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice.

Wow, the full quote is even better.

Fuck centrists.

This is why MLK is the only non-violent activist I can stand.

At least he cared

Shipping lanes are unironically more important than the Gaza genocide, the global shipping industry supports billions through food and fertilizer cargo.

Obviously the US needs to stop giving weapons to a genocidal regime, but acting surprised that they're more keen on protecting freedom of navigation just shows ignorance.

I just thought at least one of the comments on your thread should be positive. I agree with your statements :)

Why not both? Stop the genocide in Gaza and protect the Red Sea shipments which include food, medicine and equipment many in need depend on. What's with this either or shit. Do both.

Global gas prices and shipping times are the two supply lines you don't fuck with durring a war because that just attracts the great eye of ~~Sauron~~ NATO. Genocide is A-OK though. I'm pretty sure that's written in the art of war somewhere.

I absolutely agree with your post. The priority and urgency is off balanced.

I'd argue that the shipping issue is a much more solvable solution, which is why more folks jumped into help it. Compared to the mess that is Gaza.

Important distinction to be made here though: Would these factors impact someone important, like for example me or... me?

Semi-related: this is one of the best moments in Community for witty dialogue.
