A few key points of the second episode, and my take on them:
- The poison in the swords felt a bit like a diabolus ex machina. Even then, it was interesting to expose her ability as a herbalist to the future emperor, and it establishes the couple as good-natured people.
- I love the scene where she helps the newbie maid against the bullying of the other maids. Excited for the "oh crap!" moment that'll hit them.
- She's noticing that the future emperor is not so cold-hearted... yet. And the internal conflict is fairly obvious.
