My guess is that Kakao is exploiting the fact that, even if it has no grounds to sue Tachiyomi developers, a corporation is far more prepared for a legal battle than a bunch of hobbyists.

I think that this will backfire badly, though. Now they won't deal with Tachiyomi, but over nine thousand forks.

Yes. And i hope they get retaliation DDOS and hacks. Wouldn't be the first time.

yep... really sad way to start a new year.

Right now all my hopes are on Mihon or Kotatsu but i don't wanna lose all my backup

I migrated on mihon, and used the backup from the defunct tachiyomi. Extensions works so everything is good for now^^
