April 25, Senator Cortez-Masto of Nevada introduced a horrifying Senate bill, co-sponsored by Arizona Senator Sinema, that would essentially overrule the 9th Circuit decision and allow Hudbay to dump millions of tons of toxic tailings on National Forest lands. This would effectively greenlight both Rosemont-Copper World projects on the east and west sides of the Santa Ritas.
